What did Jesus say about John, and how were they related?
Jesus said about John the Baptist: ” That is, of the Jewish priestly tribe. From the Gospel of Luke, we know that “they were both righteous before God, walking uprightly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. Life of John the Baptist
John the Baptist’s life in the wilderness served Jesus. They served as a model for the first ascetics of Christianity and later for monasticism.
